Thrifty Privacy

This policy applies to all information collected by or submitted to Thrifty for iPhone and any other devices and platforms.

Information we collect

Thrifty stores information about your income, fixed costs, savings and expenses, but only on your device. Thrifty has no cloud or server component.

The only information transferred off your device by Thrifty is basic analytics data about crashes and anonymized sales data from the App Store. The only user data collected are aggregated sales reports about the date of download, the country you reside in, the type device you use and certain crash logs.

If you grant Thrifty location access, it uses this information to store location data with every expense and to offer better suggestions for expenses you might do at a later point. Thrifty stores this data only on your phone and doesn’t use it for any other purpose.

If you grant Thrifty Siri access, it shares information about every expense with your phone’s operating system.

Information usage

We do not share personal information with outside parties.

We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Accessing, changing, or deleting your information

Since Thrifty doesn’t have a server component, you can delete all personal information the app has about you by deleting the app from your phone.

Third-party links and content

Thrifty might display links and content from third-party sites. These have their own independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content or activities.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Information for European Union Customers

By using Thrifty and providing your information, you authorize us to collect, use, and store your information outside of the European Union.

International Transfers of Information

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.
